I am a licensed member of the Oklahoma Bar Association. I earned my Associate Degree in English Literature and Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Missouri Southern State University, and I obtained my Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa.

I provide my clients with the expertise to address a wide variety of construction and banking related issues. I represent lenders, owners, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers and sureties. I am actively involved in a wide variety of residential and commercial construction litigation including contract interpretation and enforcement; disputes involving payment bonds; construction defects; materialmen’s and labor liens; mechanic’s liens; and, Miller Act claims.

My practice also includes transactional and litigation matters involving business and commercial law, real estate, banking, bankruptcy, transportation and employment law defense. I have litigation experience including hearings and trials in state and federal courts throughout the country, and representation of employers before administrative agencies.

I am recognized in the Oklahoma Super Lawyers – Rising Stars for 2008-2012 and Oklahoma Super Lawyers for 2013-2023 with a designation in Construction Litigation and I have a Martindale Hubbell AV rating. In 2011, I was named to the Tulsa Business Journal’s The Tulsa 40 as an up-and-comer in the Tulsa business community and have been included in America’s Top 100 Bet the Company Litigators in Construction Litigation since 2019.

We provide our clients with the expertise to address a wide variety of construction related issues. We represent owners, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers and sureties in the construction field. We handle construction contract preparation and review, provide counsel concerning effects and pitfalls of contract terms and conditions, and provide general guidance from construction commencement to completion concerning: bid mistakes and protests; design defects; differing site conditions; non-payment; default terminations; changes; delays; suspensions of work; additional services; acceleration; labor inefficiency; mechanic’s liens; and prompt payment.

When a dispute arises, we initially develop a resolution strategy seeking an expedient and cost effect alternative to litigation, including informal settlement dialogue, mediation and arbitration. As appropriate, we confidently litigate to protect and enforce the interests of our client. We have the experience and legal resources to provide effective and time managed representation in all phases of construction litigation. We are actively involved in a wide variety of residential and commercial construction litigation including contract interpretation and enforcement; disputes involving payment bonds; Miller Act claims; materialmen’s and mechanic’s liens; and disputes concerning defects.
